VE DAY CELEBRATIONS
Don't forget 8th May is the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
In commemoration, the Chairman of North Weald Bassett Parish Council will be reading the VE Day 80 Proclamation, and lighting the Lamp Light of Peace at North Weald Airfield Memorial & Debt of Honour (by Bookers) . This will take lace at 9pm and everyone is welcome. Prior to this, at 8pm, there will be an unveiling of a memorial seat, in honour of VE Day 80 and recognising Arthur Moreton, the Royal Norwegian Airfield and links to North Weald Airfield. Everybody is welcome to attend.
In Epping, at 9.30pm a Beacon will be lit to commemorate VE Day. This will take place in the Epping Fire Station grounds. All are welcome.

Worried about reporting fraud
A lot of residents feel worried about reporting fraud.
According to Essex Police, many people experience some type of fraud at least once a month but do not report it.
The Multi Agency Approach to Fraud (MAAF) has launched a new survey to help focus resources and stamp out fraud.
If you have any experience of fraud, you can help by completing the anonymous survey
